Cycle Syncing 101: Why It Matters

How this app is helping you feel your best!

Hi there!

I just want to start by saying - it’s so exciting to see how many of you are here, curious and ready to learn more about your cycle and hormone health. I know this journey can feel a little overwhelming at first, but trust me: it’s also one of the most empowering things you can do for yourself.

App Update! - Right now, we’re in full development mode, and the first parts of the app being built are the login and onboarding flows. I know that might sound small, but first impressions matter, and I want you to love this app from the second you open it.

Since many of you are new to this world, I wanted to give a quick, easy overview of what cycle syncing actually is - and how this app is being designed to help you feel really good through each phase of your cycle.

Here’s the truth: you’re not meant to feel the same every day. Your hormones are shifting all month long, and they impact everything from your energy levels and mood to how you eat, move, and recover.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s happening:

  • Follicular phase (right after your period): Your energy is on the rise. It’s a great time to try new workouts, make plans, and get creative!

  • Ovulatory phase (mid-cycle): You may feel your most social, outgoing, and confident (maybe a good time to schedule that Hinge date?!) - think clear communication, fun energy, and more intense workouts.

  • Luteal phase (pre-period): This is your wind-down phase. You might feel more sensitive or introverted. Gentle movement, cozy meals, and extra rest can go a long way (especially for my fellow PMDD women).

  • Menstrual phase (your period): Time to slow down. Your body is shedding and resetting. Think: rest, reflect, nourish.

The goal of the app is to take the guesswork out of all of this - and actually help you sync your movement, meals, and daily habits to support what your body needs in each phase. That means fewer symptoms (bloating, acne, you name it), more stable energy, and a whole lot more ease.

It’s not about doing more - it’s about doing what actually works for you.

I love chatting with you! Let me know - are you new to cycle syncing? Or are you already trying to work with your cycle and looking for more support?

As always, feel free to send this newsletter to a friend who might love learning about this too. The more we understand our bodies, the better we can care for them, and the more in control we can be.

So grateful to have you here,
Abigail
