Learning You, Learning Me

Why Luna Cycle gets better the more you use it (and why I’m finally in a better mood).

Hi there!

Once again, I just have to say how much I appreciate this community. I never could have anticipated the rollercoaster of emotions that building this app would bring - but your encouragement and excitement truly keep me going. Another week down means we’re that much closer to the finish line!

App Update! 🚀

A lot of you may not know how Luna Cycle actually works on the backend, so I wanted to share a little peek behind the curtain.

My vision for this app is simple: the more you use it, the more it understands you. This isn’t about generic, one-size-fits-all advice - it’s about support that adapts to your body, your lifestyle, and your needs.

Here’s how it works: the backend is designed with AI to learn from the information you put in. Over time, it tailors its recommendations, so it grows with you. Think of it as: “the more I use this app, the more I’ll get out of it.”

This comes from my own frustration with the current apps out there, where the advice feels so broad and impersonal. But cycle syncing isn’t cookie-cutter and what works for one person might not work for another. I want you to feel like Luna Cycle truly sees you.

At first, the app might feel a little generic (because it doesn’t know you yet!), but as you continue to use it, it will become more personal, supportive, and effective. That’s the magic I’m so excited about.

Founder Thoughts! 💛

I’m finally in a better mood this week and I know it’s because of two things: (1) seeing steady progress on the app, and (2) the fact that I just moved into my follicular phase (my favorite!).

After all the emotions and reflection of the luteal and menstrual phases, I always feel a wave of energy and clarity here. My creativity is high (hello funnier and more inspired TikToks), my physical energy is back (just crushed a Barry’s class let’s gooo), and I feel hopeful about the month ahead.

If you’ve been following along, you know the last few weeks were heavy for me emotionally. Over the years, I’ve worked hard to actually feel my emotions when they come instead of suppressing them (ugh, not easy). The gift of that is I also get to feel the depth of joy, hope, and excitement when those emotions are here. Life is full of all kinds of feelings, and I’m grateful to be able to experience them all fully.

Let’s keep this journey going! If someone you love would benefit from Luna Cycle, please share this newsletter with them. And follow along for more updates on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook - your support truly makes a difference.

With love,
Abigail
