Your Cycle Isn’t “All in Your Head”
How tracking my symptoms changed everything - and how this app will help you, too.
Hi there!
Somehow another week has flown by! I’ve been chatting with so many people lately about how we all feel about our cycles, and the consensus seems to be: confused, frustrated, and always bloated?! A lot of us know our hormones are behind it, but we’re left wondering what to do next. That’s exactly why I’m building this app - to give you the tools you need to finally feel in sync with your body.
App Update! 🚀
Speaking of the app, we’ve made so much progress this week, and I’m seriously giddy. We’re now officially on track for a July launch (*fingers crossed*), so let the countdown begin! We’ve got the first versions of the homepage, workout, and nutrition pages built, and they’re looking amazing. Next week, I’ll share some screenshots so you can see what’s coming and tell me what you think. I’d love your honest feedback - you’re the first to experience it, and your input genuinely means the world to me.
Founder Thoughts! 💛
As this community grows, I realize a lot of you might not know that I actually left my job to build this app - all because I genuinely care about helping you live more aligned with your cycle. This care comes from my own struggles with understanding what is happening in my body, and only finding real answers through learning about the phases I experience every month.
For me, one huge breakthrough was when I was diagnosed with PMDD. Because I was tracking all my symptoms and had a deep understanding of my cycle, my doctor and I were able to conclude that the way I was mentally and emotionally feeling each month was not “all in my head.”
Then - like clockwork - this past week of my luteal phase and into my menstrual phase, I have been flooded with debilitating anxiety, mood swings, and a wave of depression (just to name a few of the super fun symptoms). But this is why understanding our cycles is so powerful - knowing I am mentally strained means I am focusing on meeting myself with grace and kindness when I begin to (quite literally) question my whole life.
This is what I hope my app can also bring to you, too. A feeling of understanding, an alignment with yourself, and the confidence to know how to best take care of your body and mind every day.
I appreciate you all more than you know. If you have any friends who’d love to be part of our community, please share this newsletter with them! The more of us learning and supporting each other, the better.
Now, time to lay on the couch with a heating pad! 😌
Cheers,
Abigail
